COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - After capturing his first tournament victory at San José State, Caleb Shetler is the Mountain West Men's Golfer of the Week, announced by the league office on Thursday. Shetler, a junior from Saratoga, Calif., earns the distinction for the first time in his career.
- Shetler won the Bandon Dunes Championship (March 6-8) with an overall score of 4-under-par 209
- He shot 68 in the first and third rounds and was just 1-of-5 golfers to break par for the tournament
- Shetler's win helped the Spartans to a runner-up finish, their best of the year
- SJSU has five top-six finishes this season
- Shetler leads the team with three top-10 finishes in 2021-22
- He is second on the team with six rounds in the 60s
