SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (9-4, 2-1 Mountain West) heads out on the road against a Mountain West opponent for the first time this season taking on Nevada (4-5, 1-1 Mountain West) for a three-game series starting on Friday at 1 p.m. on the Mountain West Network.
- The Spartans won their first Mountain West series of the season taking 2-of-3 from the Lobos. It is the Spartans first conference series win since sweeping the Lobos in 2019. SJSU has also won five of their last six games overall and are 1-0 on the road this season
- Sophomore Charles McAdoo hit .545 with a 1.000 slugging percentage while knocking in four and hitting the game-winning home run (3/5) in his first three conference games of the season. McAdoo is second on the team with a .396 average
- Redshirt sophomore Robert Hamchuk has a hit in nine straight games and leads the team with a .423 batting average. Hamchuk has two leadoff home runs this season to go along with a team leading 22 hits and is batting .538 in conference play
- Redshirt junior Jonathan Clark threw five innings of shutout ball on Saturday (3/5) while striking out seven and only giving up three hits and no walks. Clark is coming off an injury and has had his pitch limits improve every game
