Limargo Sets School Record On Day One of CSCAA National Invitational

ELKHART, Ind.—Senior Chloe Limargo kept her name at the top of the school record book with a new best time in the 50 breaststroke Thursday night as the San José State women's swimming and diving team competed at the CSCAA National Invitational in Elkhart, Ind.
 
Limargo already held the top time in the 50 breaststroke at 29.08 before swimming a 28.89 Thursday night to finish 14th.
 
Three others entered the 50 breaststroke top-10 with their swims in prelims. Cali Rowland tied her best at 30 seconds, which is the sixth-best time. Izzie Fraire is now eighth at 30.55, while Emma Myburgh is now 9th at 30.66.
 
Reagan Mathieson set the 100 individual medley time in her time trial with a 57.11, breaking the old record of 58.80 set by Kate Hang at the 2018 CSCAA National Invitational.
 
Ela Freiman improved her 200 individual medley time and now ranks ninth at 2:03.27.
 
The Spartans continue competing Friday morning with prelims beginning at 9:30 a.m. ET/6:30 a.m. PT.
