SAN JOSE, Calif. – San José State Director of Athletics Jeff Konya announced a change in women's basketball leadership on Friday. Jamie Craighead Turner will not be retained and finishes her SJSU career with an overall record of 89-160 (.357) over nine seasons.
The Spartans went 5-25 and 2-16 in the Mountain West during the 2021-22 season. SJSU finished 54-93 (.367) in conference competition during Craighead Turner's tenure, but tallied a third-place finish in 2019-20 (19-12, 12-6 MW) and a fourth-place finish in 2015-16 (13-17, 11-7 MW). The Spartans made a pair of trips to the Mountain West Championship semifinals in 2015 and '20 over the last nine seasons.
