Robert Hamchuk, Charles McAdoo, James Shimashita and Danny Zimmerman all homered to lead San José State (9-6, 2-3) in a 19-8 loss at Nevada (6-5, 3-1) in Mountain West baseball action at Peccole Park on Saturday. The Spartans tied the game at 6-6 in the top of the sixth inning, but surrendered five and eight runs in the sixth and seventh innings, respectively, to fall to the defending conference champion Wolf Pack in the series.

  • McAdoo finished 2-for-4 with a home run and RBI to extend his team-best hitting streak to seven games
    • He has reached base safely in every game this season
  • Dalton Bowling went 2-for-5 with two doubles and drove in a team-high two runs
  • Zimmerman went 2-for-5 with a double and home run
  • Left-handed pitcher Ethan Ross earned a no decision, throwing 5.0 innings, allowing five earned runs and struck out one
  • Shimashita homered for the first time this season, ending his day 1-for-2 with two walks
  • Jack Colette finished 2-for-3 with two walks and one RBI
