SAN JOSE, Calif. - Rudi Castro and Omar Lemus have signed MLS NEXT Pro professional contracts with Earthquakes II, announced by the San Jose Earthquakes of Major League Soccer. Castro and Lemus helped guide the Spartans to a 7-2-2 conference record last season and a spot in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) tournament semifinals.
"I'm really proud of Rudi and Omar, both being first generation student athletes with a San José State University degree," head coach Simon Tobin said. "They worked hard at developing their game while at SJSU, and thoroughly deserve their opportunity at the pro level."
