SAN JOSÉ, Calif. – The San José State men and women's track and field teams will compete in its first major spring meet on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Cobb Track and Angell Field in in Stanford University's Cardinal Classic

- Paul McCants III, who scored the most individual points at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, will compete in the 100m, 200m, 4x100m relay and 4x400m relay
- Sydney Bentley is entered in the women's individual 400m (current PR of 54.14), the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay
- Mahkaia Lee, Jordan Patterson and Emilia Sjostrand will compete in both the long jump and triple jump
- Lee set a San José State school record of 6.26m (20' 6½") in the long jump at the Mountain West Indoor Championship
- Micah Hairston will race in the 110mH, 400mH and both the 4x100 and 4x400 relays
- Bryson Smith is entered in the hammer throw and shot put events
