DAY 1 RESULTS (PDF)
EUGENE, Ore. - Caleb Shetler fired an opening round of 68 (-3) and Carl Corpus carded a 1-under 70 in the second round to lead the San José State men's golf team at the Oregon Duck Invitational on Monday at Eugene Country Club (Par 71, 6,995 yards). The Spartans are in a tie for sixth place with Oregon State at 17-over (291-294/585) and are just four shots out of fourth place.
- Shetler finished the opening 36 holes in a tie for 18th place with an overall score 145 (+3)
- Corpus improved seven shots in his second 18 holes and finished day one in a tie for 32nd place at 5-over (77-70/147)
- The Spartans trail Mountain West foe Boise State by just one shot in fifth place
- SJSU is seeking its sixth top-five finish of the 2021-22 season
- Kristopher Stiles and Zubair Firdaus each posted a round of 74 (+3) in the first round
- Kotaro Murata tallied a second round score of 74 (+3) for the Spartans
