EUGENE, Ore. - Zubair Firdaus carded an even-par 71 to lead the San José State men's golf team to a seventh-place finish (882/+30) on Tuesday at the Oregon Duck Invitational on Eugene Country Club (Par 71, 6,995 yards). Firdaus finished in a tie for 26th place with his teammate Carl Corpus with an overall score of 220 (+7).
- Corpus posted the second-best round of the day for SJSU at 2-over 73
- Caleb Shetler ended in a tie for 35th place after rounds of 68, 77 and 78 (223/+10)
- SJSU tallied a score of 297 (+13) on the final day
- The Spartans once again took advantage of Par 5 holes, finishing sixth in the tournament with a scoring average of 4.87 (-6)
- The Par 3 scoring hurt San José State, posting a scoring average of 3.42 and finished 25-over
- The Spartans carded the fifth-most birdies with 38
