SAN JOSE, Calif.—Rozalina Youseva won her singles match to clinch the final point for the San José State women's tennis team on Thursday as the Spartans defeated UC San Diego 4-1 at the Spartan Tennis Complex.

- Youseva improved her dual singles record to 7-2 on the season after the straight-set, 6-1, 6-1 win.
- After the Tritons won the doubles point, SJSU needed to win four singles matches for the win.
- Irena Muradyan won 6-0, 6-1, for the team's first singles points, followed by Jovana Babic who won 6-0, 6-0.
- Oleksandra Andrieieva won the third point with a 6-3, 6-1 win.
- Alba Pedrero Galindo and Raquel Villan Pereira did not finish their matches as the win was clinched while they were still playing.

San José State begins Mountain West play this weekend with neutral-site competitions against Colorado State on Saturday and Wyoming on Sunday in Fresno.
