SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (12-9, 5-4 Mountain West) hosts Mountain West rival UNLV (13-8, 6-0 Mountain West) for a three-game series starting on Friday at 6:05 p.m. from Excite Ballpark.

  • This will be the first time playing the Rebels since the Spartans took 4-of-6 from them in 2019
  • The Spartans swept San Diego State last weekend in a series for the first time since 1999 and it's their first time winning a series against San Diego State since joining the Mountain West Conference. The Spartans are 5-1 at home in MW play this season and 11-5 overall at Excite Ballpark
  • Sophomore Charles McAdoo is hitting a team best .378 with three home runs and 18 RBIs. McAdoo has a hit in 19 of the Spartans 21 games this season and has been on base in every game
  • Redshirt sophomore Hunter Dorraugh hit .455 against San Diego State with five hits, two singles, a double, a triple and a home run and slugged 1.000 to be named MW player of the week for the second time this season. He also had four RBIs and scored five runs. Dorraugh is tied for 19th in the nation and leads the MW with eight home runs
  • Redshirt sophomore Dalton Bowling has three home runs in the last two games including the game tying home run against Santa Clara in the top of the ninth inning on Tuesday. He came into the season with one career home run and his 19 RBIs this year is tied for the team lead
  • Redshirt sophomore Brady Hill had two saves over the weekend sweep for seven on the season which leads the MW and good for third in the nation
