DAY 1 RESULTS (PDF)
STANFORD, Calif. - Kristopher Stiles carded a career-low 64 (-6) and Caleb Shetler finished with a 2-under 68 to lead the San José State men's golf team to a 13th-place standing after the first round of The Goodwin on Thursday, hosted at the Stanford Golf Course (Par 70, 6,742 yards). Stiles is currently tied for first and the Spartans finished with an overall score of 1-under 279.

- Stiles made two eagles in his round and posted his fourth round in the 60s this season
- He carded a 4-under 31 on his second nine holes; His 64 ranks No. 4 all-time in school history
- Shetler responded with a 3-under back 9 for his team-best eighth round in the 60s this year
- Carl Corpus tallied a 72 after shooting 1-over on the front and back 9 holes
- The Spartans were 9-under on Par 5 scoring
- Vijay Srinivasan is competing as an individual and shot an even-par 70
