SAN JOSE, Calif. - The #11 San José State women's basketball team (5-24, 2-16 Mountain West) will face #6 Colorado State (18-10, 9-9 Mountain West) inside the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas for Round 1 of the Mountain West Tournament on Sunday night. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and will be available to watch live on the Mountain West Network.
- Cydni Lewis is leading the Spartans in scoring and rebounding, with 12.8 ppg and 7.4 rpg
- The Spartans are coming off a 68-63 win over Boise State on the road in the final game of the regular season
- Lewis and A'Tyanna Gaulden each had a team-high 17 points
- McKenna Hofschild is leading Colorado State in scoring with an average of 16.5 pp, good for second-most in the Mountain West Conference
- Hofschild leads the Mountain West in assists with 6.61 apg
- Karly Murphy's 9.04 rpg is third in the conference and leads the Rams
NEXT UP: If the Spartans win, they will advance to the quarterfinals to face #3 Wyoming on Monday, February 7.
New Covid Entry Policy:
- All personnel with a SJSU Tower ID (students, staff and faculty) will only have to show Tower ID and ticket for entry
- Tower ID holders are within the SJSU Covid protocols
- Those without a Tower ID will be required to show proof of vaccination with their card, a photo on their phone or QR code
- Fans that are not vaccinated will be required to show proof of a negative COVID test (Age 3 and up)
- For Antigen tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 24 hours
- For PCR tests, negative result of COVID test must be within 48 hours
- The antigen test can include a take-home test, sold at Walgreens, CVS and other pharmacies
Mask Policy:
- Fans are required to wear masks indoors at all times unless actively eating or drinking
