DAY 1 RESULTS (PDF)
BANDON, Ore. - Carl Corpus and Caleb Shetler both have a share of the lead after an opening round of 68 (-3) to lead San José State to a third-place standing on Sunday at the Bandon Dunes Championship, hosted by Idaho. The Spartans finished with a team score of 286 (+2) and are in third place out of 15 teams on the Par 71 (6,748 yards), Bandon Dunes Resort Sheep Ranch course.
- The Spartans are just three shots off the lead of No. 14 Kansas (283/-1)
- Joining SJSU and Kansas in the top five are Fresno State (285/+1), Oregon (288/+4) and Utah (291/+7)
- Corpus tallied his seventh round this season in the 60s
- He has nine rounds of par or better this season
- Shetler has 11 rounds of par or better this season for the Spartans
- Vijay Srinivasan carded a round of 1-over-par 72, competing as an individual for San José State
- Kristopher Stiles shot 4-over-par 75 and Zubair Firdaus posted a 5-over-par 76 to round out the scorers on day one for SJSU
