PHOENIX, Ariz. - Trenity Edwards led San José State (12-7, 0-0 Mountain West) in an offensive explosion to best Invitational hosts Grand Canyon University (15-5, 0-0 Western Athletic Conference), 11-1, in five innings on Sunday morning. Edwards went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs.
The Spartans finished the weekend 3-2 at the GCU Invitational.

- Jenessa Ullegue (7-1) started the game on the mound and threw 5.0 innings with 10 strikeouts
- The Spartans scored six runs in the first inning to put GCU on the ropes early
- Ullegue went 2-for-3 and a walk with three runs scored
- Ashley Goard was 1-for-2 with a walk that forced in a runner and a 3 RBI home run (her first of the season)
- Alyssa Graham went 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI
- The Spartans had 10 RBIs on 12 hits and five walks for 11 runs scored
- San José State had no errors in the field
