ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—Irena Muradyan went 2-0 on Friday, winning her singles and doubles matches, as the San José State women's tennis team fell at New Mexico 4-2, in a Mountain West contest.

- Muradyan and Rozalina Youseva won their doubles match, 6-3.
- Muradyan then won in straight sets, 6-1 and 7-5, for the Spartans first point of the match.
- Alba Pedrero Galindo and Lara Marco Mas were the deciding match for the doubles point, falling in a hard-fought match 6-4.
- Pedrero Galindo rebounded by winning her singles match in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.
- Marco Mas was the deciding singles point for the match. After falling 6-4 in the first set, she rebounded in the second set, going all the way to tiebreaker before falling 7-6 (7-5).
