SAN JOSÉ, Calif. - Trenity Edwards led San José State (17-14, 3-4 Mountain West) en route to a 4-0 victory over Fresno State (6-26, 0-7 Mountain West) in the first of a three game conference series on Friday night at Spartan Softball Complex. Edwards went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs and a double in the win.

- Six Spartans accounted for nine team hits
- Alyssa Graham went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and Ashley Rico went 2-for-3
- Jillian Figueroa added a triple to lead off the Spartans' three run second inning
- Jenessa Ullegue (12-4) threw 7.0 IP and held Fresno State scoreless, allowing just four hits
- San José State stranded eight Bulldogs on the base paths
