LOS ANGELES 
– Charles McAdoo hit a solo home run and Dalton Bowling hit a two-run home run to lead San José State (14-14, 6-6 Mountain West) in a 7-5 loss at USC (16-8, 4-5 PAC-12) Saturday afternoon.
 
The Spartans were down 3-0 and came back to take the 4-3 lead in the top of the sixth inning thanks to Bowling's home run, but the Trojans tied the game up in the bottom of the frame with a sacrifice fly. McAdoo gave the Spartans the lead once again in the top of the eighth with his seventh home run of the season, but the Trojans took the lead in the bottom of the eighth that they wouldn't relinquish.

  • McAdoo has been on base in every game this season and has a hit in 26-of-28 games
  • McAdoo leads the team with 29 RBIs and is second in the Mountain West
  • Bowling has five home runs in his last nine games and 27 RBIs on the season
