SAN JOSE, Calif. – Charles McAdoo hit a two-run home run and had an RBI single to lead San José State (19-18, 9-9 Mountain West) in a 5-4 win against Santa Clara (19-16, 8-7 WCC) Tuesday night from Excite Ballpark.
The Spartans got off to a great start with four runs in the first inning and one in the second inning as they evened the season series against the Broncos at one win a piece.
- McAdoo hit his 10th home run of the season and had the eventual game-winning RBI single in the second inning
- McAdoo's SJSU record on-base streak is now at 37 and has a hit in 32 games this season
- McAdoo went 2-for-3 and has a team leading 39 RBIs on the season
- Hunter Dorraugh hit an RBI double, his 29th RBI of the season and seventh double
- Dorraugh also scored a run
- Jackson Forbes hit his first double of the season
- Reece Hernandez, McAdoo, James Shimashita and Forbes also scored runs for the Spartans
- RHP Casey Spencer went 2.0 innings in relief giving up one hit and no runs while striking out three
- RHP Brady Hill had his Mountain West leading eighth save in a perfect ninth inning
