Agerbeek, David Honored by MPSF

SAN JOSE, Calif.—San José State women's water polo players Riley Agerbeek  and Cila David have been honored by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) for their play this season. Agerbeek was named to the All-MPSF honorable mention team, while David was named to the All-Newcomer team.
 
Riley Agerbeek, GS, D, El Cajon, Calif./Granite Hills HS

  • Team leader in goals scored with 42 in 25 matches played
  • Tied for 21st all-time in scoring at San José State with 95 goals
  • Two or more goals in 14 matches this season
  • Season-best five goals on eight shots against Iona
  • Added four goals in a win at Cal State East Bay
  • Added 12 assists including two against UC Davis and at UCLA

 
Cila David, FR, UT, Budapest, Hungary

  • Second on the team in scoring with 39 goals in 25 matches
  • Started her collegiate career with five goals and two assists in her first match
  • Scored 2 or more goals in 11 matches
  • Three goals in six matches including USC
  • Two or more assists in six matches
  • Three assists in a win over Cal State East Bay

San José State enters this weekend's MPSF Tournament as the #7-seed and will take on #2-seed Stanford in a first-round match Friday morning at 11 a.m.
