The San José State women's tennis team begins play at the 2022 Mountain West Championship this Wednesday, April 27, with a match against the No. 7-seed Boise State beginning at 10 a.m., at the El Conquistador Tucson in Tucson, Ariz.
- The Spartans enter the championship as the 10th seed after posting a 2-7 conference record with wins over Nevada and Utah State.
- This will be the second meeting in five days as the Spartans and Broncos played in Boise on Saturday, April 23. Boise State won the meeting 4-2.
- Irena Muradyan and Rozalina Youseva won their doubles match on Saturday, 6-4.
- Muradya and Jovana Babic won their singles matches in straight sets for the team's points against Boise State.
The winner of the match will face the No. 3-seed Colorado State in a quarterfinal match on Thursday at 2 p.m. Semifinals are Friday, with the championship match on Saturday at 11 a.m.
