SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (22-19, 11-10 Mountain West) heads to New Mexico (16-24, 7-14 Mountain West) for a three-game series against the Lobos starting on Friday at 5:00 p.m. (PT) from Santa Ana Star Field. The game can be seen on the Mountain West Network.
- The Spartans have hit 53 home runs this season surpassing the 2002 team which is a new single season team record and they have the third most in the Mountain West
- The Spartans have won four of their last five games overall and are looking for their first series win at New Mexico
- Sophomore Charles McAdoo is hitting a team best .358 and is second on the team with 10 home runs which is good for third in the Mountain West and a team best 39 RBIs. McAdoo has a hit in 34 of the Spartans 41 games this season and has been on base in every game which is a SJSU record of 41 straight games
- Redshirt junior James Shimashita has pitched 4.2 innings this season without giving up a hit or a run and earned his first career win against UC Davis (4/26)
- Redshirt sophomore Robert Hamchuk had four hits against Nevada (4/22-24) and has hits in 31 games this season. Hamchuk is eighth in the Mountain West with 60 hits this season
- Redshirt sophomore Hunter Dorraugh has 13 home runs to lead the Spartans and is tied for first in the Mountain West. Dorraugh has a home run in four of his last seven games and is closing on former Major League Baseball player Jeff Ball who owns the single-season team record of 15 home runs in 1990.
- Redshirt sophomore Brady Hill has nine saves this season which is good for tops in the Mountain West and tied for 10th in the country
- Redshirt junior Aaron Eden earned his sixth win of the season against Nevada (4/24) and redshirt junior Darren Jansen earned his sixth win of the season against Nevada (4/22) and they are tied for the most wins in the MW. The Spartans only had six wins total last season
