SAN DIEGO – Charles McAdoo tied the Spartans on-base record with 31 straight games, plus added two home runs and three RBIs to lead San José State (16-15, 7-6 Mountain West) in a 4-0 win at San Diego State (7-22, 1-12 Mountain West) Friday evening.
- McAdoo has been on-base in 31 straight games to tie Brett Bautista for first in SJSU history
- McAdoo also has a team leading nine home runs and a team leading 32 RBIs
- It was the first time the Spartans had a shutout win this season and the first shutout win over the Aztecs since April 27, 1973 in San Diego
- Jonathan Clark went 5.1 innings while giving up only three hits with six strikeouts and no runs
- James Shimashita hit a double and scored a run
- Jack Colette also crossed the plate
- Darren Jansen got the save going 3.2 innings while giving up one hit and no runs
