SJSU's Bowling Named CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team

SAN JOSE, Calif. -
 San José State's Dalton Bowling earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District® First Team, announced by CoSIDA Thursday. Bowling, a redshirt sophomore utility player from Fremont, Calif., has a 3.79 GPA in communication studies.

  • First CoSIDA Academic All-District® Team award
  • Has a .297 batting average with a slugging percentage of .527 and an on-base percentage of .376
  • Second on the team with 38 RBIs and has a hit in 21 of his last 26 games
  • Seven home runs with 28 RBIs in his last 25 games
  • Hit game-tying home run against Santa Clara in the top of the ninth inning (3/22)
  • He is fourth on the team with nine doubles and second on the team with two triples
  • His 44 hits are good for third best on the Spartans

The Spartans head to Air Force for a weekend series starting Friday at noon (PT) on the Mountain West Network.
