COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The San José State baseball team (27-25, 16-14 Mountain West) has clinched a spot in the 2022 Mountain West Baseball Championship held May 26-29 at Tony Gwynn Stadium in San Diego, Calif.
- The Spartans are currently the third seed in the four team tournament and have finished their Mountain West schedule
- This is the Spartans first appearance since 2018 when they also went 16-14 in the Mountain West
- The Spartans are going for their first Mountain West Championship
- SJSU has 21 more wins than a season ago
- The Spartans have hit a school record 63 home runs this season and are looking for their first winning season since 2011
