COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State's Charles McAdoo was named Mountain West Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. McAdoo, a sophomore from Antioch, Calif., earns the distinction after hitting .571 with two home runs, 13 RBIs, five doubles, eight hits, a 1.357 slugging percentage and five runs scored in helping lead the Spartans back to the Mountain West Championship for the first time since 2018.
- Went 4-for-6 and tied an SJSU record with nine RBIs, plus had a home run, three triples and scored four runs in the Spartans 30-9 win over Air Force (5/15) (story)
- Went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two RBIs, plus scored a run against Air Force (5/14)
- Broke the SJSU on-base streak record with 44 straight earlier this season
- Leads the team with 58 RBIs, 21 doubles and a .649 slugging pct., plus is second on the team with a .360 batting average and 12 home runs
- McAdoo is fourth in the MW in RBIs (58), third in slugging (.649), and third in doubles (21)
- First Player of the Week award for McAdoo
- Fourth Player of the Week award for the Spartans this season (Hunter Dorraugh won it twice, Robert Hamchuk won it last week)
