SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San José State baseball team (24-20, 13-11 Mountain West) heads to Cal (21-22, 11-13 Pac-12) for a single game on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. from Evans Diamond.

  • The Spartans have hit an SJSU single-season record 56 home runs this season and are third in the Mountain West
  • Sophomore Charles McAdoo is hitting a team best .365 and is second on the team with 10 home runs which is good for fourth in the Mountain West and a team best 44 RBIs. McAdoo has a hit in 37 of the Spartans 44 games this season and has been on base in every game which is a SJSU record of 44 straight games
  • Redshirt sophomore Hunter Dorraugh has 15 home runs to lead the Spartans and the Mountain West. Dorraugh has tied former Major League Baseball player Jeff Ball with the SJSU single-season team record of 15 home runs. Ball set the record in 1990
  • Redshirt junior James Shimashita has pitched 4.2 innings this season without giving up a hit or a run and earned his first career win against UC Davis (4/26)
  • Redshirt sophomore Robert Hamchuk has 22 hits in his last 13 games and 67 hits on the season to lead the Spartans which is good for seventh in the Mountain West
  • Redshirt senior Ruben Mercado hit a blistering .533 in four games last week with eight hits, eight RBIs, four runs scored and hit his first home run of the season
  • Redshirt sophomore Dalton Bowling hit .333 in three games against New Mexico with four hits, five RBIs, three runs scored, plus a double and a triple in his first games back since 4/16 after dealing with an injury
  • Redshirt sophomore Brady Hill has nine saves this season which is good for tops in the Mountain West and tied for 14th in the country
  • Redshirt junior Darren Jansen earned his seventh win of the season against New Mexico (4/30) and is tied for the lead in the Mountain West. The Spartans only had six wins total last season
