SACRAMENTO, Calif. – RHP Jonathan Clark went 5.0 innings with six strikeouts, while letting up only two hits and one run to lead San José State (27-26, 16-14 Mountain West) in a 4-3 loss in 11 innings at Sacramento State (29-23, 17-13 WAC) Thursday night.
The Spartans tied the game up in the top of the ninth thanks to bases loaded walk with Dalton Bowling at bat, but the Hornets won the game on a fielder's choice in the bottom of the 11th inning.
- Robert Hamchuk went 3-for-6 and has a team leading 86 hits on the season including nine hits in his last two games
- Hamchuk has 27 multi-hit games on the season
- Omar Gastelum with an RBI single for 15 RBIs on the season
- Brady Hill had a pair of hits and scored on a wild pitch
