SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.—Natasha Andrea Oon, Lucia Lopez Ortega and Louisa Carlbom each shot under-par rounds Sunday to propel the fifth-ranked San Jose State women's golf team up the team standings into a tie for seventh with LSU at the 2022 NCAA Women's Golf Championships at the Grayhawk Golf Club.
Let's hear from some very happy Spartans.

- Oon shot a two-under 70 to finish the day in fourth place at one-under 215. After a bogey on the first hole, she then made five birdies and 12 pars over the round.
- Oon is looking for her second top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships in her Spartan career. She was ninth at the 2019 NCAA Championships after shooting 79-71-72-222 in the shortened championship.
Next to hear from, @Natasha_AndreaO who shot a -2, 70, on Sunday and is now 4th overall at -1, 215. #SpartanUp | #NCAAGolf pic.twitter.com/yGM8uhmgF6

- Lopez Ortega also shot a two-under 70 Sunday and is tied for 63rd at +10. After making pars over her first five holes, she went par-birdie-birdie-par to finish the front nine at 1-under. Lopez Ortega made three birdies, a double bogey and two pars over her next six before finishing with three consecutive pars.
- Carlbom shot a one-under 71 to move into a tie for 63rd at +10. She made 10 pars on her first 13 holes before finishing with two birdies, two pars and an eagle.
- The Spartans continue to lead the field in eagles made with four as Carlbom came close to recording an albatross on 18. Her second drive on the par-5, 467-yard hole hit the green and rolled towards the cup, just missing falling in and left Carlbom with a short putt for eagle.
All smiles for Louisa Carlbom with the tap-in eagle on the par-5 18th. Just barely missed an albatross.

- Kajsa Arwefjäll is tied for 20th at 5-over 221, after shooting a 2-over 74 in the third round. She was a par making machine for much of the round, making eight consecutive over the first nine holes and 14 total for the round.
- Antonia Malate shot a 3-over 75 and is tied for 116. She was 1-under through her first 12 holes, making 11 pars and a birdie on the seventh, and ended her round with three par putts.
- The Spartans shot a 3-under 285 in the third round and enter the fourth round tied for seventh with LSU. The team jumped seven spots in the team standings on Sunday after starting the day in 14th place.
- The 285 team score is the second-lowest score by a Spartan team at the NCAA Championships, just one shot shy of the 284 shot at the 2013 NCAA Championships in Athens, Ga.
- The 3-under par is also the second lowest in relation to par in school history at an NCAA Championship. Twice, SJSU has shot a 4-under par – 1988 4th round (par 74); and 2013 1st round (par 72).
- Notes from Saturday – Oon and Arwefjäll are just the second and third Spartans to shoot a 68 in the NCAA Championships, joining Janice Moodie who shot a 68 in the first round of the 1997 championship at the Scarlet Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio.
- The two are also just the fourth and fifth players to shoot in the 60s at an NCAA Championship – Regan De Guzman, Moodie (twice) and Vibeke Stensrud (twice).
- The Spartans are vying to be one of the top-eight teams after tomorrow's play to head into match play on Tuesday for a chance at a team national championship.
San Jose State begins final-round action on Monday at 11:06 a.m., off of the 10th tee with LSU and Southern California.
Live coverage on the Golf Channel is from 2-6 p.m. PT on Monday.
