Robert Hamchuk, James Shimashita and Ruben Mercado each recorded RBIs to lead No. 3 seed San José State (29-28) against No. 4 seed Air Force (29-27) in the winner's bracket of the Mountain West Championship on Friday at Tony Gwynn Stadium. The Falcons' Doyle Gehring tossed 7.1 scoreless innings, striking out a career-high 13 and allowed four hits as Air Force defeated SJSU, 7-3.
