Spartans Women's Soccer Adds Collin Audley as Associate Head Coach

SAN JOSÉ, Calif. - The San José State women's soccer program adds Collin Audley to its coaching staff, SJSU officials announced on Thursday. Audley joins the Spartans as the associate head coach after two years as head coach of the Long Island University women's soccer program.

"I'm incredibly excited to add Collin to our San Jose State Women's Soccer staff," said head coach Tina Estrada. "Collin has tremendous experience in his playing career as well as coaching in the PAC-12 and SEC. His head coaching experience will be instrumental to elevating this program to the next level. We share the same passion, dedication and vision of this sport and are aligned with how to guide the elite student-athletes to success on and off the field. Our program and players are lucky to have him and can't wait for him to get started."

Audley brings eight years of collegiate coaching experience to the Spartans. Prior to his stint as head coach of the LIU Sharks, he served as an assistant for the women's soccer team at the University of Kentucky. At Kentucky, he was responsible for implementing training programs, as well as breaking down film for players and coaches. While with the Wildcats, he participated in the UKAD Leadership Course and was pivotal in the development of an All-SEC Freshman Team recipient.

"It's a great honor to be joining the team," said Audley. "I have known Tina for several years and followed her journey. She is a great person, with big ambitions. I had two great years in the Bay Area in 2017 and 2018 and I am happy to be back! The institution and department are doing an excellent job improving the facilities and resources on campus. The team is working hard and I'm excited to see what we can accomplish together."

Audley spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Stanford University men's soccer team. Under his tutelage, the Cardinal compiled a 31-6-7 record across two seasons. He was a member of the National Staff of the Year in 2017, helping lead the team to a National Championship. Audley coached back-to-back PAC-12 Championship squads.

In addition to Kentucky and Stanford, Audley spent time at the Colorado School of Mines and his alma mater, the University of Denver. As an assistant with the Orediggers, his team reached the NCAA Division II quarterfinals in 2015, following a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship.

After an impressive playing career for the University of Denver that included three All-Conference selections and a Newcomer of the Year Award, Audley played for both the Colorado Rapids and the Chicago Fire reserve squads in the Major League Soccer system.

Audley went on to become the Director of Operations and a volunteer assistant for Denver's men's team. In his one year with the Pioneers, the team won the Summit Conference, advancing to the NCAA Tournament.
