SAN JOSE, Calif. – Charles McAdoo hit a bottom of the ninth two out walk-off double to lead San José State (25-21, 14-11 Mountain West) in a 4-3 win against Fresno State (23-23, 11-11 Mountain West) Friday night at Excite Ballpark.
With two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, Robert Hamchuk hit a double which McAdoo then followed for the game winner, scoring Hamchuk from second. It was the first time that the Spartans led all night.
- McAdoo hit two doubles in the win for 16 on the season and has a team leading 45 RBIs
- Hamchuk went 2-for-4 and hit his seventh home run of the season, plus scored three runs on the night
- Jack Colette hit his fourth home run of the season to tie the game in the seventh inning
- RHP Darren Jansen pitched 4.0 innings in relief while striking out three on the way to his Mountain West best eighth win of the season
- Dalton Bowling hit an RBI triple and has a hit in 10 straight games
- RHP Jonathan Clark went 5.0 innings with six strikeouts and four hits in the no decision
- The Spartans are a game in a half ahead of the Bulldogs for third place in the Mountain West standings
