Episode 5 of The Charge

SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State Athletics' All-Access Show, The Charge, aired its fifth episode last Friday, July 8 on NBC Sports Bay Area, and the final re-air of the show will be this Sunday at 3 p.m. on NBC Sports California. The show featured stories on the historical runs of the women's golf team and baseball team, along with a special tribute for Hall of Famer Lawrence Fan who passed away suddenly in February and a special feature on softball player Trenity Edwards.

  • The Charge, stories of SJSU Athletics, is a seven-episode all-access show that will debut on NBC Sports Bay Area each month
  • There will be several re-airs throughout each month on NBC Sports California
  • The show is produced by Atomic Productions, Inc., along with SJSU Athletics
  • Fans will get an in-depth look at the student-athletes, teams and the department in a new unique way 
  • Fans can look for Episode 6 of The Charge sometime in August on on NBC Sports Bay Area and California

  • Episode 3 of the Charge features gymnast Mercedez Sanchez, three-time All-American goalkeeper Yahav Fire, the defending Mountain West champion women's tennis team and women's basketball player Sophia Jones with her Dad Mark Jones, ABC/ESPN sportscaster and broadcaster for the Sacramento Kings.

  • Episode 4 of the Charge features an up close look at coaches Charles Ryan, SJSU Director of Track and Field, Sage Hopkins, SJSU Women's Swimming and Diving head coach, the highly-rated football recruiting class and the preview of the 75th Western Intercollegiate at Pasatiempo Golf Club on April 11-13.
