The regular season opens with Santa Clara on Aug. 18 at home. Notable other matches include an early season match up against Big West Champions UC Irvine, who upset No. 2 UCLA in the NCAA Tournament last season. The Spartans conclude regular season play against rival Fresno State on Oct. 27.
