SAN JOSE, Calif.—The San José State women's soccer team took eight shots Saturday night as the Spartans tied Cal Poly, 1-1, in an exhibition match at the Spartan Soccer Complex.

- SJSU's only score was an own goal off a Spartan corner kick. The ball entered the box and went through the Mustang goalie's hand and off another player before going into the net.
- Six different Spartans took shots during the match including four different players with shots on goal.
- Spartan keeper Shayla Sugai made six saves in the tie as Cal Poly took 17 shots.
San José State opens the 2022 regular season on Thursday, August 18, as the Santa Clara Broncos come to the Spartan Soccer Complex. The match begins at 7 p.m.
