COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Kasper Poulsgaard was named to the 2022 preseason All-WAC Team, the Western Athletic Conference announced on Wednesday. Poulsgaard was first team All-WAC at the end of last season.
"Kasper has emerged as one of the top central defenders in the WAC with many faultless displays last season," head coach Simon Tobin said.
The senior from Hedendsted, Denmark has been a mainstay in the Spartan backline in recent years and has contributed on the offensive end. Poulsgaard scored three goals last season including the game winner in the upset win over Grand Canyon.
The Spartans were slated to finish sixth in the preseason poll, totaling 43 points. Seattle U received eight of the 10 first place votes. SJSU welcomes the Redhawks to the Spartan Soccer Complex in the regular season finale on Nov. 4.
