COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Mountain West Conference released the 2022-23 conference schedule on Wednesday. San José State's slate starts off conference play with a home opener against UNLV (December 28) before going on the road to face Colorado State (December 31) and Boise State (January 3).
The Spartans will face every Mountain West team both home an away except for Wyoming (only home, February 4) and San Diego State (only road, January 28).
SJSU will face UNLV on the road on February 14 and Boise State and Colorado State at home on February 25 and 28, respectively.
The remaining home and away matchups are Nevada (home, January 7; road, February 21), Fresno State (home, January 10; road, February 7), Air Force (home, January 24; road, March 4), Utah State (home, February 11; road, January 21) and New Mexico (home February 18, road January 17).
The 2023 MW Men's Basketball Championship, which will be held March 8-11 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.
Today's release represents the first phase in the 2022-23 men's basketball schedule. Mountain West national television partners CBS Sports and FOX Sports will now initiate a selection procedure which will include the shifting of particular games to any night of the week. That will be followed by the identification of network outlets and tip-off times.
San José State returns All-Mountain Honorable Mention Omari Moore and brings on six newcomers including three collegiate transfers.
