SAN JOSE, Calif. - No. 9 San José State men's water polo starts the 2022 season against Santa Clara for an 11:30 a.m. game at West Valley College. The Spartans will also participate in an exhibition game against West Valley College at 9 a.m.

- Santa Clara is receiving votes in the most recent poll
- Bende Parde led the team with 53 goals and 27 steals
- Parde was an honorable mention All-American last year
- Mark Kris was second on the team with 44 goals and led the team with 59 ejections drawn
