LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Sarah Smevog moved into fourth all-time in digs at San José State as the Spartans went to four sets with No. 22 UCLA Saturday afternoon before the Bruins won 3-1 (25-14, 20-25, 26-24, 25-17) at Gersten Pavilion on the Loyola Marymount campus.

- Smevog moved into fourth place all-time in digs at 1,352, after leading the team in digs with 10 Friday afternoon. She passed Kristal Tsukano who is now fifth at 1,350 digs.
- Blaire Fleming led the team with 12 kills, and Amethyst Harper recorded double-digit kills for the sixth match this season with 10.
- Jiana Lawson again led the team in blocks with five block assists, followed by Harper who had a season-high four blocks, one solo and three assists.
- The Spartans fell in the first after hitting negative, but rebounded to win the second set by hitting .286.
- The two teams combined for five lead changes and 11 tied scores in the third set.
San José State will face host Loyola Marymount Saturday at 3:30 p.m., inside Gersten Pavilion. Admission is free for all.
