DAVIS CALIF.—
No. 10 San Josè State's (4-4) Bende Pardi led all scorers with four goals against Navy in game one. Mark Kis and Itay Nemet led the way with three goals each against Occidental College. On the final day of the Aggie Roundup, the Spartans defeated No. 20 Navy (5-6) 13-9, and then defeated Occidental College (1-7) 19-6. 

Game One 

  • Javi Ibanez (2), Laszlo Szieben (2) and Gal Haimovich (2) all scored more than one goal against Navy. 
  • Pardi, Ibanez, Connor Macmillan and Niels Hofmeijer all recorded one assist. 
  • Bence Szabo also recorded two exclusions. 
  • The Spartans went 5/5 on penalty shots, recorded eight exclusions total, and had 31 shots on goal. 

Game Two 

  • Szieben and Kai Young also scored two goals each against Occidental College. 
  • Macmillan, Haimovich, Garrett Duardo, Szabo, Erik Duesund, Bendeguz Melkuhn, Pardi and Maro Tiozzo all scored one goal. 
  • Zoltan Der also recorded two steals in the final game. 
  • The Spartans scored 10 goals in the first half, and an additional eight goals in the third quarter alone. 

Next Up: San José State will compete at the MPSF Invitational at Stanford University from Sept. 23-25. Their first game is against Long Beach State 3:20 p.m. on Friday.
