COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — San José State goalkeeper Bente Pernot has been named the Mountain West Freshman of the Week for her performances against Air Force and Colorado College last week.

- Registered two saves and faced eight shots.
- Made a terrific save against Colorado College, stopping a shot between her legs that was fired in from within the penalty box
- Helped the Spartans remain undefeated in conference play

The Spartans are back in action at the Spartan Soccer Complex on Thursday, Sept. 29 for a matchup with Nevada. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
