COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - San José State's Jordan Pollard was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday. Pollard, a freshman linebacker from Los Angeles, Calif., had a career-high eight tackles and also his first career interception in SJSU's 34-6 win over Western Michigan on Saturday night.

- Played football at Faith Lutheran High in Las Vegas, Nev. (Coach Mike Sanford)
- Averaged 12.75 tackles per game and was credited with 31.0 tackles for loss in the 12 games he played during his junior and senior seasons
- A 2021 Las Vegas Review Journal second-team All-Southern Nevada honoree
- First-team All-5A Southern Mountain League outside linebacker also accumulated 7.0 quarterback sacks, two pass interceptions and eight pass break-ups in his two seasons
