PALO ALTO, Calif. - David Sweeney led the way for San José State (1-2-1) with 12 saves in a 4-0 loss to No. 3 Stanford (4-0-0_ on Sunday.
- Two early Cardinal shots were blocked by Herminio Padilla in the box
- Angel Iniguez had the first shot for the Spartans, going just wide of target
- Riccardo Scarafia and Beau Leroux added shots in the first half
- Leroux fired a set piece shot just over the crossbar from about 23 yards out in the 47th minute
- Finlay Wood tested the goalkeeper in the 65th minute with a shot from outside the box
- Jude Boyd also got a shot on goal in the second half for SJSU
