SAN JOSE, Calif.- The No. 10 San José State men's water polo (1-0) team will play back-to-back home and away matches this weekend starting with No. 8 UC Santa Barbara (2-2) on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the SRAC Pool. SJSU then travels to No. 6 UC Davis (3-1) for a 12 p.m. match on Sunday.
- SJSU knocked off Santa Clara in their season opener 10-8 in a match up where eight different Spartans scored goals.
- The Spartans are now ranked No. 10 in the CWPA polls following their first win at home.
- Jamie Steingraf recorded six steals and stopped nine in net during the season opener.
- UCSB and UC Davis are also ranked in the top 10 in the CWPA polls with UCSB ranking No. 8 and UC Davis ranking No. 6.
