• The Spartans return 10 letterwinners from last year's squad that finished the season ranked No. 16 in the final Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) poll
• Seniors Hannah Henry, Clarissa Wandinger and Sophie Spivack are the captains of the 2022 Spartans
• With four neutral site and one road match, all non-conference contests, the Spartans have their most ambitious season-opening weekend since 2015 when San Jose State played six matches in three days.
• Olga Descalzi is the Spartans' top returning goal scorer with 121 career goals in her first three seasons. She ranks 16th on the San Jose State list for career goal scoring.
