LOS ANGELES, Calif.— The Spartans will travel back down to Southern California to play against No. 9 UC Irvine (10-8, 0-0) in their second conference match of the year on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 1:00 p.m. PST at the Anteater Aquatics Center. Then San Josè State will play No. 6 Whittier College (7-12, 1-4) on Sunday, Oct. 16 at 12:00 p.m. PST in Whittier, CA.
- Bende Pardi continued his dominant season against Pepperdine with four goals to lead all scorers.
- Pardi is the leading goal scorer this season for the Spartans.
- Jamie Steingraf also continued his dominance recording 11 saves at the net against Pepperdine.
- This weekend marks the final full weekend of matches the Spartans will play on the road, after being on the road for every match since Sept. 10.
- This will be the second time SJSU plays against UC Irvine, after SJSU fell to UCI 12-11 on Sept. 24.
Next Up: The Spartans will stay in Northern California to play in the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament against George Washington, Bucknell, Brown and Harvard from Friday, Oct. 21 to Sunday, Oct. 23. SJSU will return home for the first time since early September to play against Harvard at 9:00 a.m. PST at the SRAC on Sunday, Oct. 23.
