SAN JOSE, Calif. - San José State men's soccer play away from home this week with matchups against UNLV and Utah Tech. The Spartans will battle UNLV on Friday night at 7 p.m. (PT) before heading to St. George, Utah for an afternoon showdown with Utah Tech on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. (PT). 

First Touches

  • The Spartans are coming off a 1-0 victory over Incarnate Word in a non-conference match.
  • In conference play this season, the Spartans have defeated Texas Rio Grande Valley and tied Houston Christian. 
  • SJSU has not lost since September 8th against St. Mary's.
  • The UNLV Rebels are winless in their last six matches as their most recent win was on September 15th against Pacific.
  • The Spartans also won over Pacific this season, 2-0 on September 22nd.
  • The Utah Tech Trailblazers have tied their previous two matches, against Texas Rio Grande Valley and Houston Christian.
  • The Spartans have an all-time record of 16-28-6 against UNLV
  • The previous matchup between the Spartans and the Rebels was a 2-0 win for the Spartans in October of 2021.
  • The Spartans have gotten the better of Utah Tech historically, holding a 2-0-0 all-time record over the Trailblazers.
  • The Spartans won 3-0 when the two sides matched up in 2021.
