SAN JOSE, Calif. - Bella Flocchini and Sabrina Weinman netted goals to lead San Josè State (4-5-5, 3-2-2 Mountain West) to a 2-1 victory over Utah State (6-5-5, 3-3-1 Mountain West) on Thursday night at the Spartan Soccer Complex. 

  • Flocchini opened the scoring with her team-leading third goal of the season, off assists by Taylor Phillips and Tiana Cello.
  • For Phillips, it was her team-high fourth assist of the season.
  • After the Spartans conceded, Weinman responded by scoring the game winner at 86:50 off an assist by Tatiana Cunningham.
  • It was the first goal of the season for Weinman and the second assist of the season for Cunningham
  • Bente Pernot made four saves.
  • With the victory, the Spartans moved into a tie for third place in the Mountain West.

UP NEXT: The Spartans are back in action on Sunday at 12 p.m. versus Boise State (7-2-7, 3-0-4 Mountain West) at the Spartan Soccer Complex.
