BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The Spartans swim team competed at the Roadrunners Invite after a solid performance by the women's 400 yard medley relay team and 400 yard free relay teams that each placed second and third in their races.
Swimming
- In the women's 1000 yard freestyle, Alice Ciobanu placed ninth and Hailey Todd placed eleventh.
- Reagan Mathieson and Felicity Passon placed top two in the 200 yard free relay recording 1:51.69 and a 1:51.99 respectively.
- Emma Myburgh placed third in the 200 yard breaststroke with a 2:20.60.
- Zsófia Muzsnay and Andreea Dragoi placed third and fourth respectively in the 200 yard butterfly.
- Felicity Passon also won the 100 yard free style with a 51.72.
- Ellie Shorten placed sixth in the 200 yard backstroke with a 2:07.35.
Diving
- Jenna Jagielski finished in first with a score of 322.20 by day's end.
- Emily San Jose came in second overall with a score of 291.00 by day's end.
- Makenna Sharpe finished in fourth with a score of 268.40 by day's end.
Next Up: The Spartans will match up at home against Pepperdine at 1:00 p.m. PST on Friday, Oct 22 at the SRAC.
