COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—For the second consecutive week, Sarah Smevog has been named the Mountain West Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.

- Helped lead San José State to a 2-0 week in Mountain West play, defeating Boise State (3-1) and Utah State (3-1).
- Averaged 3.88 digs and 1.88 assists per set.
- Recorded 20 digs in the 3-1 win over Boise State and added four assists.
- Against Utah State, recorded second double-double of the season and her career with 11 assists (career high) and 11 digs.
- Perfect in serve-receive against Utah State in 25 attempts.
- For the week, only one receiving error in 57 attempts.
San José State looks to stay atop the MW standings this week with road matches at Wyoming Thursday night and at co-MW leader Colorado State Saturday afternoon. Both matches will be shown on the Mountain West Network.
